With two nights at a cozy lodge, daily breakfast, and a group dinner included, it’s the perfect balance of activity and relaxation. Day 1: Coquitlam to Ucluelet
7:00 am – Meet at London Drugs (Coquitlam Centre Mall, 2929 Barnet Hwy Suite 1030, Coquitlam, BC V3B 5R5) and check in with the DCSA guide
- Ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay in Nanaimo
- Visit Coombs – take a photo of goats on the roof (weather permitting)
- Trail walk around Little Qualicum Falls – admire waterfalls in a lush forest setting
- Drive through Cathedral Grove to see ancient giant cedar trees
- Hike the Wild Pacific Trail in Ucluelet
- Check into Canadian Princess Lodge
- Group dinner (included)
- Bonfire and marshmallow roast on the beach near the hotel (weather permitting)
Day 2: Tofino / Ucluelet
8:00 am – Breakfast included
- Travel to the town of Tofino
- Free time to explore or join an optional whale watching tour (additional cost)
- Non-whale watchers: walk to Tonquin Beach and explore Tofino village for lunch
- Afternoon: Optional surfing lesson (additional cost)
- Non-surfers: free time on the beach (games, frisbee, or relaxation)
- Evening games and a beach campfire (weather permitting)
- Return to Canadian Princess Lodge after campfire
Day 3: Ucluelet to Coquitlam
8:00 am – Breakfast included
- Visit Long Beach
- Depart for Nanaimo after lunch (own expense)
5:55 pm – 7:35 pm – Ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay
9:00 pm – Approximate return to school
Recommended Spending: Bring approx. $20 for lunches and $25 for dinners not included.
