Travel by ferry through the scenic Gulf Islands, explore historic landmarks, stroll the Inner Harbour, and experience the stunning Malahat Skywalk. Students will enjoy guided city tours, free time to shop and explore, and comfortable accommodation in Victoria. Optional activities like whale watching, the Royal BC Museum, or tasting local cuisine on the “Eat Like a Canadian” tour add even more excitement to this coastal getaway.

Sample Itinerary:

Day 1: Coquitlam to Victoria

  • 7:00 AM: Meet at London Drugs at Coquitlam Centre Mall (2929 Barnet Hwy Suite 1030, Coquitlam, BC V3B 5R5) and check in with the DCSA guide.
  • Take the ferry through the Gulf Islands. Lunch is available for purchase onboard – we recommend students bring a packed lunch.
  • Enjoy a scenic coastal drive through James Bay and Oak Bay.
  • Drive along Beach Drive to Beacon Hill Park and stop at Mile 0 for pictures.
  • Experience a Victoria city tour including:
    • Fisherman’s Wharf
    • Bellville Street
    • Government Street
    • Empress Hotel
    • Chinatown
    • Wharf Street
  • Check into your downtown Victoria hotel and enjoy free time to use the hotel’s facilities.
  • Meet your guide in the lobby and depart for dinner (at your own expense).

Day 2: Victoria to Coquitlam

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast included at the hotel.
  • Enjoy free time exploring the Inner Harbour and shopping on Government Street.
  • Optional (additional cost): Visit the Royal BC Museum or participate in a whale watching tour (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM).
  • 1:30 PM: Depart for Goldstream Park for a short hike in the old-growth forests, including waterfalls and trees over 600 years old.
  • Continue to Malahat Skywalk (admission included).
  • Walk the TreeWalk through a beautiful forest to a gentle spiral ramp rising 32m to a sightseeing lookout with views of Finlayson Arm, Saanich Peninsula, Mount Baker, and the distant Coast Mountains.
  • Take the 5:55 PM ferry back to Horseshoe Bay.
  • Return to your school around 9:00 PM.
